Level experience ramp overrides

Hey everyone,

on the engine settings for the server, you got 'Level experience ramp overrides'. You can select either Dino or Player.
Then you can add in a level followed by the experience needed for that level.

Now for example, if I put level 150, and needed 150.000 experience to reach that level, would that mean the new level cap for a player is 150 and all levels before that are automaticaly adjusted with the experience points they require?

Thanks,
John

Heya John,

So for the Engine Settings, Level Ramp Overrides will work exactly like you said.

You can test this in-game by giving yourself the required amount of Exp needed to hit that level. (You may note it is a little off sometimes.) You'll also note that you need to have both versions of the level ramp overrides, especially for dinos (The first line is for players, the second is for dinos

Personally, I don't recommend using the Engine Settings, as sometimes it will write settings twice within the Game.ini. But I've tested this in game just now and it worked (kind've. I ended at level 151 instead of level 150.)

If you'd like, there are tools that can generate the levels and the experience for you, as well as engrams and outputting the code. (Many online, so I'd "shop" around.)

Edit: So I just double checked this to make sure I wasn't crazy and found that with the Engine Settings, it basically boosts everyone to level 151 instead, completely avoiding all experience needed to level up.

So you will need to make sure that you have EVERY SINGLE LEVEL or else it will not work correctly.

Terribly sorry about that >.<

Thanks for the reply dgangl,

I been doing some research in the weekend just incase all levels need to be done manually / via a tool. I found one that was pretty good, allows you put in the level you want the max to be, how many xp points difference per level and a multiplier. It also automatically does the engram points for you.

However, seeing as a good few on my server at the max. level already, I will still need to manually make some changes. For the player levels, not that big of a deal. But we are also wanting to make the dino level go up to a muuuuuuch higher level and that will need to be done manually, haha.

Thank you again,
John
