Does Nitrado support 3x3 and 4x4?

I heard that you need atleast 3x3 for powerstone and bosses to work on your server since they need to spawn in the middle.
Can someone confirm this please ?

This is a 2 part question and answer.

Yes, Nitrado will provide as many servers as you want. The problem is in the json file.
Example: you get a 2x2 server, play on it....down the road you decide to increase it to a 3x3. You can cause issues in the config. Ie: bases destroyed and other issues.
So if you know ahead of time you will do a 3x3, you design the 3x3 in the map editor, just play the 2x2, and later add the 3x3 servers. Note if you do this, the world becomes 'flat'. lol
The size of the grid is dependent on 'you' for the server/game size.


Part 2-
For a fact you can place the power stones in a 2x2 grid, collect the stuff, xp, discovery. What you would not be able to do is the 'final boss' as you do need a single grid/server for that. So you could put all power stones in 3 grids, and use grid 4 for the boss. Waste of a server (personal opinion).

So when hosting your owner server, you have to think carefully what you want to do, how long might it be up, the size of the grid. It is like a mini project.
You dont just pop it up and expect to have everything.

You do have to add the routes, mermaids, whales and so on if you want a custom experience. Its all done within the json.

Alright thanks, does the interface grid also support 3x3 ? (when you go to configure your cluster it shows 2x2)


Also i am strill trying to work out how to add whales and mermaids, i know it is done by overrides, but not sure where you get the codes from.

Here is the full code, whales, squid, mermaids you add it by ctrl+left clicking on the grids (not islands) and then where it says OceanEpicSpawnEntriesOverrideValues

Once you configure the json correctly, that image on the cluster config will update to display the 3x3.
As for the overrides, its all done in the json.

Lots of youTube vids are available that show that, and how to. Also the Atlas forums have a support forum that provides this.
